Yin Immersion (Public Sessions)
The Alchemy of Stillness: A Weekend Yin Yoga with Cole Schlam
Step away from the fast-paced momentum of daily life and drop into the profound, quiet medicine of Yin Yoga. This weekend immersion is uniquely designed with two pathways to meet you exactly where you are.
The Deep Immersion Track (For Everyone): If you are looking to nourish your nervous system, deepen your personal practice, and explore yoga that invites us to slow down and arrive into deep stillness, you can join us for the main immersion sessions across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The Teacher Training Track (For Instructors/Advanced Students): If you are a yoga teacher looking to confidently share this practice with others, your weekend includes the main immersion sessions plus specialized afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday to learn how to offer the practice of yin to others.
Whether you are here to soften into your own skin or to expand your teaching toolkit, this weekend offers a sanctuary of unhurried time, deep study, and profound rest. Students of any level are welcome.
Individual Class Descriptions
Friday | 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Art of Landing Softly (Pure Yin, Gentler Side)
Before we can deep-dive, we have to let ourselves arrive. This opening session is an invitation to gently shed the momentum of the week and cross the threshold into a slower state of being. Through heavily supported, effortless earth postures, we will soothe the nervous system, quiet the mind, and simply allow the dust to settle.
Saturday | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Shedding the Layers (Slow Flow to Yin)
Together, we will build a gentle warmth through fluid movement with breath as the guide. Then find moments to dissolve into the quiet medicine of extended Yin holds. It is a mindful rhythm designed to meet you exactly where you are.
Saturday | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The Space Within (Pure Yin)
In this afternoon session, we step away from muscular effort entirely and turn our attention to the quiet edges of our physical and emotional landscapes. Guided by the natural rhythm of the breath, we will create space to unravel tension and rest in the center of our own being.
Saturday | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Teacher Training Only)
YTT Module 1: The Anatomy of Stillness & Sequencing
For trainees, this afternoon clinic bridges our morning practices with the structural mechanics of guiding others. In this session, we will introduce the fundamentals of functional anatomy and energetic anatomy as it relates to Yin. We will also look at the foundational principles of building an intelligent, safe, and cohesive Yin sequence.
Sunday | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Rhythm & Release (Slow Flow to Yin)
Sunday morning invites us back to the mat with a sense of gentle nourishment. Moving like water, a slow, intentional flow will gently open the pathways of the body and awaken our energy before we anchor back down into long, receptive Yin holds. A beautiful, tender rhythm to start the day.
Sunday | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The Sweet Dissolve (Yin to Restorative)
Our final collective practice is a slow journey into absolute, effortless being. We will begin with a few melting, restorative Yin holds to gently unwind the body's deeper fascial lines, before drifting into pure, fully supported Restorative shapes. This session is designed to leave you feeling completely coddled, deeply grounded, and gently renewed.
Sunday | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Teacher Training Only)
YTT Module 2: Holding Space & Training Conclusion
Our final training segment focuses on the subtle, practical elements of guiding a Yin class. We will explore the art of propping, learning how to creatively use blankets, blocks, and bolsters to meet diverse bodies exactly where they are. We will also discuss the role of the teacher as a space-holder.
